Okay, I’ve downloaded banner-creation software and have made some good-looking banners. The problem is, I cannot get them to work. I’ve tried them on my website, Myspace, and other websites I have rights to. I’ve saved my “link to” page and the image in the same folder. The closest I get to making it work is a blank square box that does take you to my website when clicked, but the banner image doesn’t show. Please Help!

If you are using flash, you could be missing a couple of files associated with the animation. Check to see whether you have uploaded the SWF extension, it has all the info in it to get your animation rolling.
If it is a program with a different type of action script, make sure they are loaded also.
From what I gather it works in preview off line on your computer.
If you have lost the files, that is they are scattered on your hard drive somewhere, employ a file to each new project, you’ll have all your files in one package, include the project file name in the package. This way you’ll never have to search for parcels if you decide moving your work to another computer.
