I’m planning to expand to a larger hard drive on my PC. I know there are programs like Norton Ghost that let you create images of hard drives… but I’ve read in reviews that it’s buggy… Does anyone have any recommendations from personal experience?
Best software to copy/image a hard drive?

The engine most of those programs use – the Linux dd command. Boot a Linux Live CD and use the dd command. (It works with an image of the disk, so it doesn’t matter what operating system is installed on the disk.) http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-newbie-8/learn-the-dd-command-362506/
acronis true image
works like a charm
is this a laptop or desktop
if it is a desktop, why dont you just install a 2nd hard drive and leave the first one as is
but if you are just wanting to swap out drives
save all your documents/videos/pics and so on burn them to disc using your cd/dvd burner
install the new hard dirve/install windows/now get the cd u just made and install them
good to go
